A recent paper authored by Cheyenne D. Wakeland-Hart, Steven A. Cao, Dr. Megan T. deBettencourt, Dr. Wilma A. Bainbridge, and Dr. Monica Rosenberg, titled “Predicting visual memory across images and within individuals,” highlights the importance of considering both individual- and image-specific factors in predicting visual memory. A memory model that included image memorability and sustained attentional state outperformed models that included either and could predict visual memory in an out-of-sample group (Wakeland-Hart et al., 2022).
