Deepa’s Publication in IMPULSE

Our lab manager, Deepa Prasad, has recently published her first paper entitled “Correlated Activation between Striatal and Cortical Regions during a Movement-Related Signal Detection Task: A Re-Analysis of Two fMRI Datasets” in IMPULSE, an undergraduate neuroscience journal. This research was done in her previous lab at the University of Michigan, under Dr. Cindy Lustig. This study reexamines two existing fMRI datasets to see if cue-directed shifts in motor behavior are cholinergically-mediated, as cued-directed shifts in attentional behavior are. The results of this paper provides converging evidence that that may be the case.
