Dr. Bainbridge and her collaborators Xenia Grande, David Berron, Anne Maass, and Emrah Düzel have a new paper out in Neuropsychologia entilted ‘Content-specific vulnerability of recent episodic memories in Alzheimer’s disease’. In this paper, they discuss how episodic memory is a landscape of different features. These features are differentially susceptible to degradation and erosion, with memorable content resistant to such erosion. Understanding this content-specific vulnerability could be key to understanding how memory is affected by conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
